Women’s Education

Women’s Education: Whispers of Knowledge is an animated documentary inspired by the 19th-century Persian text Tadib al-Nesvan (Women’s Education). Through evocative animation and historical narratives, the film uncovers the struggles and resilience of Iranian women who sought knowledge despite societal barriers. By bringing their whispers of wisdom to life, this project bridges past and present, sparking vital conversations on education, gender, and social change.

A Masterclass

Creative people are sensitive, but how much do we really understand about our sensitivity? At Fontevraud Abbey, during this workshop, we will explore our sensitivity in our art…
One direct way of exploring our sensitivity in our art is by creating ambiances. In other words, when we draw or paint we try to create unique ambiances with the help of our observational skills as well as our intuition. I very much look forward to explore our unique sensitivity with discussions and with creative exercises at Fontevraud Abbey. We will make sketches and drawings, using simple tools such as pencils, charcoal and gouache, to explore the fine qualities of ambiances. (Michael Dudok de Wit)
